The Therapy Tapes Series #1 Forest Green/Lime Green
EDITION OF 12 / VIEW GALLERY TO SEE ALL TITLES
Hand carved, hand inked and hand printed, this series uses the iconic image of a cassette and explores relationships between various “mixed once” colours to create a bold initial image. This is the starting point of a conversation between the Artist and viewer which is continued by the unique title each print has, is viewed.
One of these sentences, formed in my subconscious, as a result of hours of Therapy whether it be validating, reassuring, caring, instructional or motivating, which whilst personal on some level to me, will resonate deeply with you, the viewer.
As with all my prints, each individual series is limited and small in number, that’s what makes them small editions. This series has small editions in a variety of colour combinations, these colours are “Mixed Once” in a limited quantity with only enough to complete the print edition.
All work is printed using Cranfield Caligo archival relief ink and is printed on 220gsm, smooth archival paper. These prints are on A4 paper, although the print size is slightly smaller and is centred as shown in images. All type is added by hand, using my Imperial 200, manual typewriter which means even the type has a distinctly analogue and unique quality, dependent on how the type hits the ribbon and the paper.
Your print is not framed, allowing you to choose something which will fit the unique aesthetic of your home.
As a direct consequence of this extremely analogue way of working, each print will have small variations, depending on the paper, ink, temperature, time of day or pressure when printed and this adds a wonderful quality to each print.
All prints are finished with my custom embossed makers mark and each print is numbered and signed. Your print will be lovingly packaged, firstly sealed in cellophane, then wrapped in tissue paper, your print is then layered between cardboard and posted flat in a padded envelope, to ensure it arrives with you as perfect as it leaves my studio.
